People connect with symbols and their meanings, and the individual way they resonate with their personality, ambitions, struggles or source of joy. Their intention with their talismans is to offer inspiration, connection, or simply a bit of comfort.

THE VANCOUVER STUDIO
"In 2009 we purchased a 100 year old house for Pyrrha to call home. After quickly running out of space we decided to build our dream studio. Over the past several years we've worked tirelessly to bring our vision of a fully restored heritage house with adjoining production facility to fruition. Our new zero-carbon certified build—comprised of the original heritage house and our newly built production tower—is a juxtaposition of the old and the modern, just like our jewelry. Along with our team of artisans, we sustainably handcraft every piece of our jewelry in the tower, while the heritage house is home to our showroom." ~ Wade & Danielle
PYRRHA'S SUSTAINABILITY COMMITMENT
Handcrafting our jewelry locally and running a company with sustainable values is important to us and we don’t just talk the talk. Pyrrha is a B Corp, a member of the Responsible Jewellery Council (certification number 0000 4572), Butterfly Mark certified through Positive Luxury, and a member of 1% for the Planet. We cast our sustainable jewelry in 100% recycled sterling silver, 14k gold, and bronze in our Canadian Green Building Council certified Zero Carbon Vancouver studio.
We want Pyrrha to reflect our personal belief that we should tread lightly on the earth. We’re acutely aware of the havoc that the conventional jewelry industry wreaks, and we want to inspire other companies to be more accountable, transparent, and better for the world.
We consider the environmental impact of everything we do and we’re committed to always trying to improve.

Ovid's Metamorphosis
"Inspired by the idea of metamorphosis, we took the name Pyrrha from the Greek myth of Pyrrha & Deucalion. To us, the name is symbolic of both a physical change — the transforming of metals into jewelry — and an emotional transformation for the wearer."
Beautifully Flawed
"Inspired by a collection of Victorian wax seals we found while digging through a box of old letters at an estate sale, our talismans evolved from a desire to give the fragile antique seals new life and permanence. We celebrate the natural imperfections of each piece of our sustainable jewelry and proudly show the maker’s hand."
The New Heirloom
"Since our humble beginnings in 1995, we have been committed to handcrafting sustainable jewelry with meaning as a reaction to the proliferation of factory made, mass produced fashion jewelry that is so common in our industry. Everything seems to be cranked out at a staggering pace and then left for dead. Because we live in such a throwaway society, we feel it’s necessary to create things that will be kept."

This talisman features a bear, a symbol of motherhood and childbearing. It represents ferocity in the protection of one's family.

"Signet ring or talisman necklace? While I love how a necklace rests close to your heart, there’s something about a signet ring…it feels like a secret pact with myself to commit to positive change. The most important thing is to choose what resonates with you. Of course it helps if you like to look at your hands ;) " ~Danielle

INSPIRATION
This talisman reads 'In Lumine Luce' in Latin, which means 'Shine in the Light.' The arm coming out of a crown is symbolic of leadership and achievement. It is holding a sheaf of wheat which represents the fruition of one's hopes and dreams.
